Medical Advisory Board
The professionals who guide the standards, educational accuracy, and clinical integrity of SpinalDecompression.com — representing multiple medical disciplines united by evidence and outcomes.
Our advisory board was assembled to reflect this reality. When professionals from different training backgrounds — who don't always agree on everything — agree that a therapy works when delivered with proper equipment and protocols, that consensus carries weight.

Medical Advisory Board
The professionals who guide the standards, educational accuracy, and clinical integrity of SpinalDecompression.com.
Our advisory board was assembled to reflect this reality. When professionals from different training backgrounds — who don't always agree on everything — agree that a therapy works when delivered with proper equipment and protocols, that consensus carries weight.
Why This Matters
One Therapy. Multiple Disciplines. One Standard.
Spinal decompression is not owned by any single medical discipline. It is a mechanical intervention used by medical doctors, chiropractors, nurse practitioners, and physical therapists — each evaluating it through the lens of evidence, clinical experience, and patient outcomes.
Our advisory board was assembled to reflect this reality. When professionals from different training backgrounds — who don't always agree on everything — agree that a therapy works when delivered with proper equipment and protocols, that consensus carries weight.

Robert Odell, MD, PhD
Medical Director, Neuropathy and Pain Centers of Las Vegas
Dr. Odell is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management specialist with extensive experience across conservative and interventional pain management techniques. Over the course of his career, he found that advanced electromedical devices produced favorable results for patients with neuropathy and other pain conditions that can be difficult to manage, leading him to specialize in these advanced techniques for patients with the most challenging conditions.
Dr. Odell graduated with high honors from the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied liberal arts and engineering. He was a fellow of the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP), receiving both his PhD in biomedical engineering and his medical degree from Stanford University. David Levinson, DC
Private Practice Since 1982 · PGA Tour Medical Staff
Dr. Levinson has been in private practice since 1982, bringing over four decades of clinical experience to the advisory board. In his career, he has opened and implemented his practice techniques in 10 clinics across the United States and Italy, building a diverse body of treatment experience across patients of all ages and fitness levels.
Dr. Levinson was one of the first practitioners in the country to adopt spinal decompression as a clinical modality. His early adoption, combined with decades of hands-on experience, provides the board with a practitioner perspective grounded in long-term clinical observation. He has served on the medical staff of the PGA Tour for approximately 20 years, supporting professional athletes with musculoskeletal care at the highest competitive level.

Garrett Glapa, ACNP-BC
Board-Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Garrett Glapa brings a compassionate and detail-oriented approach to his role as a board-certified acute care nurse practitioner. His clinical experience includes a high volume of back and joint cases, providing the advisory board with a practitioner perspective from the nurse practitioner discipline — an increasingly important voice in musculoskeletal and conservative care.
Garrett earned his undergraduate nursing degree from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (UWM) and his Master's degree through the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) program at UCLA. His presence on the board reflects the platform's commitment to representing the full range of licensed professionals who encounter and treat spinal conditions.
- UCLA — Master's Degree, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program
- University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee — BSN
- Board-Certified (ACNP-BC) — Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- High-volume experience in back and joint conditions
Patients often ask me why their doctor didn't mention decompression. The honest answer is that medical training doesn't cover it uniformly, and the inconsistent marketing across the industry made it harder for referring physicians to evaluate. That's changing.
An Expanding Board
As SpinalDecompression.com grows — including planned international expansion — additional advisory board members will be added to ensure continued multi-disciplinary representation. A physical therapist or physiotherapist is expected to join the board, completing representation across MD, DC, NP, and PT disciplines. The goal is simple: if a therapy is used across disciplines, the platform that explains it should reflect that breadth.
